The Vulcan is a giant unit that specializes in destroying large groups of grounded units with powerful AoE damage. Vulcans are one of the strongest counters to enemy armies that feature a large number of chaff units, and are especially deadly against [[Crawler|Crawlers]], who will die to the Vulcan's attacks before ever reaching melee range. Vulcans cannot attack air units at all, and struggle to damage units with high HP stats (e.g. [[Rhino|Rhinos]], [[Fortress|Fortresses]]). A Vulcan stuck targeting a durable single unit will be unable to target chaff until that unit is dead, which may limit its horde-clearing potential.
